Very rare sighting here. We washed this one a while back while it was custom painted white pearl. The car's paint was not matching correctly due to materials.

So... the owner picked an outrageous color. The car arrived covered in grime and the usual body shop dust. This was also a good time to assess the paint work and talk about our options.

I'll leave the color hidden under this layer of foam for now!

Pearl white is a factory color. I Opticoated one a couple weeks ago.

Factory color on aftermarket body panels can cause discoloration in pearls. Unlike other paints, pearl must be sprayed on same mediums, and batch to ensure an even pearl finish. Many times fiber glass based panels leave a slightly "yellower" pearl finish than lets say, grey primer as most metal is.

Thats why its a pretty penny to fix pearls the right way.

It's not a problem if done by a quality paint shop. But yeah, gotta pay to play, with body and paint, including detailing.
