It's no longer a secret. Yes, swanicyouth is the hall monitor.

Let's all just enjoy the Austrian GP and the sale and call it good.

Sale ends tonight fellas. Stock up for a summer of detailing. :)

One post complaining about a sale and several explaining my post to people who have problems with reading comprehension and math.

Let's keep all of the above out of my sale thread, please. :)

If you have a question, concern or comment, please utilize the PM feature and shoot me a message. :xyxthumbs:

It may not be a problem at Autogeek, but I'm pretty sure some forum member will have issues with your chosen channel of communication.

Well, then some forum member can lighten up and get over it; just trying to be helpful. Picked up an 8oz tub of mis-labeled Fuzion for $50 over there.

The Internet is a wonderful place, eh? Gotta take the good with the bad...

The only thing I don't like about Autogeek sales/promotions is that they always cost me money...just can't resist most times. If I don't like the terms and/or shipping times/costs, I just opt out of purchasing. It's really quite simple. As for ordering errors/issues, I'd guess a phone call would resolve it, always has for me even when *i* was the one who gooned up the order. But, everyone wants everything resolved NOW. Patience is your friend, especially on a holiday weekend. Really don't think anyone is trying to be misleading in the sales; some would still ##### if Autogeek GAVE stuff away...

Man, the Austrian GP finish was exciting! Maybe Mercedes can order up some Flex 3401s for the boys to buff out their problems.

Its all Marketling. The countdown timer did to the OP exactly what it was supposed to... make you spend your money with some kind of emotion attached. Thats what upset him so much. He felt tricked. When you purchase out of emotion you most times either buy things you dont need or spend more than you should have. You have to learn what marketing is trying to do to you and then you can internally combat it.

I didn't feel tricked. I made it quite clear I was disappointed by Autogeek's deceit. Seriously, can't you read? I wrote that I was rushed for what turned out to be no reason. I didn't spend more than I intended nor did I buy stuff I don't need. As for learning about marketing to internally combat feeling cheated, I'll match my Marketing / Economics MBA with yours any day, Sigmund.

By the way, where did you develop your theory of a countdown timer making me spend money with emotional attachment? I guess you think parking meters engender emotial attachment to parking fees.

I believe Sonic is referring to the countdown timer, which has appeared to be meaningless in the past, but at the moment, it seems to be relevant. I'm not sure if there's been a problem on AG or if it's a browser issue on mine. Looks like I'll take the risk of missing out on something BIG and migrate my Wish List to my Cart in the next 13 hours, 46 minutes.

That's what I was referring to as well. Typically the sales end when the timer goes off (there's been several just in the past couple weeks). For whatever reason this sale was extended (which is obviously at AG's discretion to do so - it's not a bad thing anyway).

Come on, guys! I logged onto the site in the afternoon of the 2nd to see 7:30 left on this deal. I had someplace to be, so I rushed putting an order together to get in on the sale. Now, a few hours later I see the same exact deal extended? Thanks a lot for making me rush through my order.

Why can't you just be straight shooters and be honest and set the deal clock to the entire sales period instead of this infomercial style crap? When exactly did you put Ron Popeil in charge of marketing? I expected more from you and have learned my lesson. (If I wrote what I really feel, I'd get banned.)

Instead of enjoying 15% off - you're mad that you enjoyed the 15% one day early?

The sales get extended as nice gesture from their part - to make sure not everyone misses the sale. Ofcourse this is due to revenue targets too but thats just business 101. Both parties get what they want.

If you've been here long enough you would know that the banners are not the best way to know about the sales - the forum is. Nick is often kind enough to extend the sale and posts it on the forum too when he does.

Jeez.

If you feel that you rushed your order - you'll have another sale in no time lol. Fulfill your desires then...and then during the countless number of sales that follow.

If you enjoy detailing - you will be on here more often than you think. I live halfway accross the world (14 hour plane journey) and I choose Autogeek for my detailing needs. Nothing beats their price and customer service.

Nick, thanks for the discount and free shipping!

I don't know, I've seen sales end on the timer and also be extended. I'd say about 50-50 with my short time on the site. It is what it is.

All my card info got stolen, all cards shut down at the moment, so....... I can't take advantage of the sale.

So I look at the sales, and look at the complainers complain.

If you have a usable PayPal account, that'll work for the sales.

Not so much for complaints.
