Starting A Mobile Detail Rig

Blazinbelltech has nice stuff but pricey. That said I don't regret the expense at all. It makes a statement to my clients and makes everything organized.

VAS - you're not far off minus all the products and misc. items. I could have done thing a little cheaper but when you have a vision of how you want things it's hard to sway your mind. Had I known what I know now I'd of done a few thing differently but I'm not so sure it would of save in start up costs.

:iagree:I want customers to see the organization and effort I put into my equipment, it's all about image and what I can offer with my supplies. Not saying I can do a better job because it looks nice. Just a little more comfortable knowing "that's how he keeps his stuff" and "probably is going to do an excellent job on my vehicle"

I have a some supplies for my own needs, I'll have pretty much everything I used at my old job minus blowers for drying, but I look at his overhead and building size, cost of employee's etc.... I'm very confidant that I will do much better on my own, plus I will use good stuff and give the customer what they pay for, something my job would pull on people. just another reason to go out on your own. I'll try to get some progress done but waiting for carpet machine and generator should be here in a week. Spent $440 at AG last night getting some towels, cleaners, bottles, other odds and ends. Have to wait on shelving for blazin, running low on cash but it's getting done. More coming soon!!!!!!!

nice rig extreme, I'm planning something close to yours. I'll be getting generator and carpet machine soon, sorry guys for delays want to keep the rest of it hush hush till I finish ordering it. Good equipment coming soon. retractable hose is something I'm probably going to want, also I'm going to seal the sides up too like the floor and yes there will be a nice bench in there. cant wait hold in there guys. I'll keep you posted.

Sorry just realized the Detail Rig belongs to extreme... LOL

Got the sides sealed up. Looks good I think. Also ordered the generator, I wanted to buy it right the first time so I went with the honda generator EU6500IS very clean power $3,891 with tax from fleet farm. And another $2.244 on a sandia mercury 2-200H carpet machine with attachments for auto floors along with a crevice to for inbetween seats went with 50ft of hose so my machines are stationary. also got some carpet cleaning solutions, I'll post pics when it arrives and other specs. It's a waiting game now.

put sealant on the bench, I'm also putting peg board on the v above bench to hang stuff, also put 15ft of hose on shop vac, wheels on the honda and some test fitting. carpet machine is on the way. I have my bottle holders and chemicals i'll post that up later or tomorrow.

Wow this is looking amazing. Where are you located?

This makes me wish I had startup money. Truly inspiring. :)

Thanks for your comments. It's been hot and raining daily so I can't get much done. Just got the carpet machine a few days ago.

Located in central Wisconsin. I'm sure I could have done things cheaper but I know I wouldn't have what I wanted. I've been waiting 4-5 years to do this. I wanted a building so I would have work in the winter months but couldn't afford that it would take another 5 yrs lol. You could spend around $6k and have a smaller setup and it would work great also.

Got some 2x4's up to support peg board.

Put plumbing on tank and filled it up to check for leaks. Everything is good to go.

Put fittings on pump.

Sorry for slacking on pics, It's coming together nice. A few more things to mount yet.

looking good !
not so sure about the back of thecards, seems a little vage imo...

and I've got to ask, why 2 hoses from the tank, 1 to pump, 1 not? is this to keep the pump from burning when not using the pressure washer?

extra valve and hose are to drain tank, fill bucket, rinse hands. The hose comes out behind pressure washer coiled up. Pump has built in switch to keep pressure regulated. I tested it out works great. I'll get a video showing how it all works.

The card could never fit the package details, it's just to give them an idea of the cost. i will a sign made to show customers what they get, Here is a rough draft. Final will be colored. I will also have an side menu with a few extras.
