Just got my most recent autogeek.net order in the mail yesterday, 2-Detailer's Pride air fresheners and 2-Lake Country microfiber pads. I was happy with the order but....

I hate those damn packaging peanuts. Am I alone? Can we just go to paper by default for all orders? Then, if someone wants the peanuts then can request them.

Funny this is the majority of our stations are paper, but no we have to keep the peanut options for certain orders. BUT like we always say if you DONT want Peanuts just let us know on your order. We are very easy to work with on that.

this thread has been done already... all u have to do is request no peanuts in the comments box.... although i love packing peanuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im the MAN

Meghan,

For the large number of customers that are quietly dissatisfied with the peanuts, could you please give us an explaination as to why the peanuts are preferable from your perspective?
I think many of us would be more tolerant of them if we knew why you guys feel that they are superior to other packaging materials.

Yes i have explained it several times on here but just so you all new ones will know, peanuts are safer for shipping certain chemicals, we have been doing this for a long time and we have found what works with certain products.

How many times does this have to be discussed? They offer paper just request it.

AG can ship stuff in a garbage pail for all I care. Stuff arrives perfect condition, peanuts protect it well. Keep shipping material whatever is cheapest and most effective.

Meghan I agree peanuts are the way to go, these people are clueless and then they will be the first ones to cry when the product is split everyone. Unbelievable, quit the complaining already. These people have been running autogeek for awhile, I think they got it figured out.

You get superior void fill and more elasticity. I just wish they would use the anti-static or corn starch ones...or that I could remember to ask for paper...

I think packing peanuts are essential for most things shipped from AG....however a suggestion would be to maybe have some sort of recycling program through AG to a) help the environment and b) help AG. Not sure how that would work, but it was a thought.

Always had peanuts, never had ONE thing spilled.

And paper kills trees! lol

Peanuts are actually a lot of fun! I dump 2 or 3 boxes in the back of my pickup and take a drive.....Looks like snow!!

Lol, take a picture of this next time.

I didn't know about the packing peanuts being an option, thanks:props:

I tell people all the time that AG is the only company I use that the shipping price is worth it! I absolutly don't mind paying for AG shipping! It is evident that my orders are packed with the uptmost care. You guys are welcome to use any packing media you desire. I trust my package will arrive in the condition it left the warehouse.

All my orders for the past few months have been packed with paper. But I do remember the peanuts, they stuck to everything and made a huge mess. But it was fun to unpack all the stuff, but not to clean up.
