I am planning on starting my own business very soon and am currently getting the funds together to do so. I have a passion for cleaning cars and want to learn how to completely detail inside and out. That being said i know i'm not going to jump in and be able to do a "show room" job off the start. What is a solid list of products to start off with? Feed back please

Welcome!

People with more knnowledge than me will chime in with a list of their favorite products.

Basic equipment includes:
Buckets with grit guards
Good wash mitts
Microfibers for each use (drying, interior, glass, wheels)
Good hose nozzle
Quick disconnect for hose
Good vacuum
Dual action polisher
Assortment of pads
Mike Phillips' books and videos

That's a start.

I'm fairly new but from the cars I've done invest so money into a few wash mitts my personal favorite is a microfiber hope everything goes as planned

Correct!!! plus if you can add a Side Kick hand blower,a Tornador with small air compresor,a portable steamer from Harbor Tools they are not expensive and does the job!!!

These tools will really help you, save time, and will do a better finish work on the interior part!!!

Thanks everyone! I have my order sitting in an autogeek.net cart waiting to get the funds together. Just wondering (i forgot to mention this before) I live in an apartment right now, so no garage. I'm planning on starting off out of my car then buying a trailer with water tank and a small generator, and then eventually doing mobile and at home when i get a house which should be within a year. That being said is there anything thats really going to kill me tarting off just out of my car? Also any certain products that will make it a little easier besides waterless wash.
