Alright I know this has probably been beat to death but here I go. I have a question about prices. Should I base them solely off my market or shoot higher?

The problem is when I see an add for a wash, wax, vacuum, clean interior, and interior glass cleaned for $35 I don't see how they make it. I consider that the low end of my market definitely. In the higher side I see prices around 60-70 for the same services, at least what I am finding on Google search anyway.

Everyone that has seen my prices says I am kind of high. Figured I would ask people here and see what you all thought.

What part of MS?

I detail a little on the side in MS as well but my prices are on the high side. ( I don't even do just a exterior wash but this isn't my career so I can be very picky)
Here most people don't know what the differences between a $20 wash and a $50 wash.

I'm in the Jackson area. I have a mentality that if I can get a few cars to do, I will get business because of the quality I do. I am just doing it part time I am a cop full time so I have a good many days a month of free time. I have done a few family members an they were really impressed with what I did. Just don't know if I'm being to crazy with prices or if I need to start lower. What part are you in?

Brandon Crossgates area. I own and run a martial arts school in Brandon.

That's pretty cool! Good luck on getting high price customers here :-). So many people these days just want the cheapest not the best
