I have a question, I'm not a professional detailer just one that works on my own car,
I can't afford all of the items that are listed here but wanted to know what are good OTC products to use on my car. Wash-Clay-light swirls-polish- Wax? My car is 1982 Old Cutlass Supreme 2 dr and has been repainted 4 years ago with the original color and it has clear coat.
Thanks BTW I was given a Craftsman Polisher for x-mas but seeing the PC, my wife returned it and bought the PC for me and pads.....:props:.

Megs gold class soap, mothers claybar are both available otc and work very well. Also in some Advance Auto parts you can find Meguiars 105 & 205 polishes. With that pair you should be able to do everything you need.

For wax check your local wally world for Autoglym HD wax. Its on clearance and is amazing. Or you can try Meguiars nxt wax. It works well too.

Also some napas carry duragloss and you really can't go wrong with anything in their line.

Megs or Mothers clay will be fine. Megs Ultimate Compound and Swirl-X are the consumer versions of 105, 205 and may be easier to find. Definitely go pick up some Autoglym HD while it's on sale for $20, it comes with the wax, 2 applicators and a MF towel... and is awesome! Not the easiest to work with but it really performs!

What size pads did you get with your PC? 5.5" hopefully? (awesome of your wife to recognize a better machine and return/exchange!)

Mothers has a fine line of OTC products. There Clay Kit is exceptionally awesome

Meguiars Ultimate Compound & Swirl X would be another must have
 
Duragloss, Mothers, and Megs are all great values and nice products.
