Nice info but it's not about products. It's about selling yourself. You have to believe and love what you are doing. This isn't about making a few bucks because there are far easier ways to make money. Detailing is hard work and even when you're having a bad day, you're customers don't care. They want it done now, they want it done right, and they always want more than they are willing to spend. You must love to get wet, love to get dirty, love to inhale chemicals all day, and love to sweat on hot days and freeze on cold days. You must love putting up with traffic, putting up with cheap skates, d-bags, and cranky people who just learned they owe taxes to the IRS. You better know a lawyer, a good chiropractor, and love to work on weekends, and after hours or even evenings if necessary. You must love days where nobody is calling and days where you can never keep up. You must love seeing cars you know will be destroyed 10 minutes after you worked for hours, and cars who's owners will be wiping them with a bath towel the day after you've but in a lot of effort.
There's lots to consider. You're not getting any healthcare, pension, or 401k.
Bottom line, you have to love what you are about to do. Working on other peoples cars is not the same as working on your own. The stakes are much higher once you touch another car. You'll not likely be satisfied if you're anal about your own car. It only takes one bad customer to take it all away. People talk which is great if you don't screw up, but it only takes one slip up to wish you'd taken up rigging voting machines for Hillary Clinton.
I love detailing too much as a hobby to ever think of losing sleep over it. I bow to those who have the desire and guts to dive right in eyes wide open
