A friend and I have recently tried to up our occasional detailing to a small scale business. We'll be under the name Two Guys' Garage Detailing (TGG for short), and willl be a mobile operation. Centered in an upper class country club neighborhood, our clientle will mainly include luxury sedans, SUVs, and the occasional exotic. We will be using mainly Chemical Guys and PB products, along with a pair of Griot's Garage DA's. Unlike you guys, we aren't neccesarily going for perfection, and will be using primarly M105/M205 and CG Sealant to achieve about an 80% correction at most. We hope to charge about $155-85 for a wash, interior, tires rims and wells, glass, and clay, polish, seal, and wax. Would yoou guys say this a reasonable price for the service? Also, what other services have you guys found are most popular among clients?

Leather cleaner/conditioner, vaccum, and shampooing mats, as well as all interior glass.

My favorite package to sell is a basic in/out and wax, small 2 door for $55 4 door sedan start $65. the reason i like these so much is that a single employee can start to finish under 1 hour so my labor cost is less than $9 per hour, plus my chem cost is about $3 dollars......so proffit $45-55 dollars per hour.

i think before you get into marketing and stuff like that , few quick advices:
- know how much time it takes you for each step
- know how u handle "extra " soild.. and how taht will affect your time
- know your products - pro and contra
- price by hour or by quote
- be precise of what the client pays for , let him know
- "reasonable price" ?! , put the price of your work value, knowledge , time, products
- i will not advertise any package with " all in one" , put them as separate as add-ons and let the client to choose what service he wants ( engine detail , polish ,shampoo, leather treatment etc)
- have a website
- advertise to the right people
- have a back-up plan for rainy /slow days

i can charge for 2 cars $400-$600 without taking the flex out of the bag...and is not necessary to be exotics to pull that
