Steamer ?

I have a small steamer I bought at a yard sale. It is gunnked up with has water deposits, as the previous owner is not use distilled water. Any idea how to clean it out?

soak the hold tank with vinegar/water solution then spray it all out , rinse then with clean water ? that's my guess , as its what I do to my humidifier to clean .

They make stuff for cleaning them. Look for a descaling product, people use them in coffee makers.

I don't really have a ratio , I don't have to clean my steamer cause I do use di water . but for when I clean humidifier I'm soaking the filters in the sink and idk 1/2 gallon vin, rest water .i can watch the crap release from the filter .
I don't know if too much vinegar will hurt , the more the merrier ? cleaning power .

as said above u can find coffee maker cleaning solution or even humidifier cleaning solution at u local Walmart or hardware store . I just use vinegar . I don't know if this will work but its worth a try

You can use straight white vinegar, or CLR will work, too.
