Steel wool for metal polishing...when to use and when not to use?

10-04. Will look over when I get some time. I respect and admire the hands on this forum that work on bikes. I no longer have the fortitude to do so. While I can hold my own on cars, I prefer RV's and class 8 vehicles. Haven't broken into that segment of the market here in Md., yet.

How about for a little marring? I had to twist my pipes apart and now they won't slide back together. Paper, wool, stages? It's only to mate them togther the polished/sanded will not be visible.
