I'm not sure who makes Adams polishes and compounds, but I personally have struggled with sticky paint in the past, I found that Menzerna and especially Meguiar's compounds and polishes are a nightmare to use on sticky paint. I believe both companies make top notch abrasives that are easy to use 99% of the time, but for sticky paint, neither preforms well in my experience. After encountering this issue numerous times, I started researching and testing out new compounds and polishes to see if there was something that performed substantially better for those problematic jobs.
The best polish I've used to date, that actually seems to remove easier on soft sticky paint is HD Polish+
Not only is Polish+ cheap but it smells good, works great on hard and soft paint, and it is extremely lubricated yet never leaves behind an oily film.
For those willing to pay twice as much, Scholl Concepts has created and entire line of polishes and compounds that even in full sun on sticky paint is easily removed and nearly impossible to over work. But, AG stopped carrying the scholl's line so I would really encourage you to order at the very least 8 ounces of HD Polish+ because it truly is in a league of its own for sticky paint polishing. Hope this helps!!! Good luck
