I am hoping to get some advice on marketing my new detailing business. Some advice from people who have used Google AdSense, AdWords, P-cards, Facebook, Instagram, and website design would be immensely helpful to not only me but many others as well. I've done searches, but it seems better to have it all in one post.

Thanks!

Be patient grasshopper.... Thats a lot to cover, doubtful to see it in one place. One thing to start on is website. Many templates and or learn as well pay for the service. Make sure you have content that targets your demographic.... then get google my business, g+, and adwords and watch the business come in from there. Get a fb page keep good rich content comming in and promote.

I appreciate the input. I have set up adwords express, a google plus account, a facebook account, and a website. I have business cards on the way, and I have someone working on a logo for my T-shirts that I am going to wear and have my helpers wear.

Doing all this took a lot of research. I was hoping for people to provide input to lessen the amount of headaches newcomers might have when creating their own business.

This thread was just met with such overwhelming apathy and I was disappointed. Oh well. More money for me :)

Also, I was hoping someone with some great experience with a specific form of advertising would chime in and give some solid tips. What keywords to use, which advertising technique yields the best ROI. Stuff like that.

Should I use an ad management service? Should I just stick to word of mouth and adwords? Should I do a couple of free demo details for those in my demographic so they'll tell their peers?

I mean these are all questions that can be answered with some extensive digging, but advertising is so dynamic that what worked then might not work so well now.

But that's okay. I'll just leave this thread here, and when I have a good experience, I'll be sure and post a quick walk-through.

There are a ton of great resources in these threads, and like Ryan said, it's busy season and this sub-forum usually seems a little slower in the summer months because of that. Guys usually chime in, don't get discouraged and negative so quickly and you'll have better luck hearing back from other guys.

As for marketing, I don't do, nor have I ever really, done a ton of paid versions. Good work spreads and word of mouth is huge. Also an awesome website with great SEO is absolutely paramount. Usually guys have links to their sites in their signatures on here (if they have a business). Check those out for ideas. Google Adwords is also a good idea, as well as Facebook and Instagram. Having a fully set up yelp page for customers to leave you reviews for others to read can be beneficial. Following up with past customers and impressing current customers any way you can are things that should naturally be done, but always a good reminder to hear them again. Hopefully that helps some.
