Looking for the best way to stop engine corrosion and oxidation. I have read several places about spraying everything with WD-40. What is your advice about this?

Body wax will work.you more than likely have to go to a autobody trade supply store to get it.The reason I asked you about salt air,is because people living right on the ocean there cars are ruined within 3 years.living on the ocean is not as glamorous as you think rots everything.

That will break down and brittle over time ,body wax last for years with one single application on the metal car structure not on the plastic.mercedes Benz is known to use that in there engine compartments and under door jams.To completely different products plastic deosnt erode.

Unless you're talking about a stored engine I don't think you'll find an easily applied product that will provide a solution for this. I assume your concerns are with aluminum specifically. Short of having it painted or powdercoated you will be constantly battling some level of corrosion on aluminum especially during the winter months when your engine gets so cold it sweats. It's humid as can be here and I see the same concerns on my car that lives outdoors. Without parking indoors where it's warmer you'll kinda have to deal with it.
