Storing chemicals already diluted?

i use distilled water to dilute my products, it's cheap and only $1-$2 for a gallon. one thing i don't like to store diluted is car wash mixture for the foam cannon/gun and only mix it up when i'm about to use it. i found using it when it's been stored for days doesn't work as well...

I use screw on funnels on the spray bottles I'm filling.

Such a simple solution to potentially messy situation.

I have APC and QD that sit diluted all the time and have no issues. Our tap water has a super awesome softener and dechlorinator so I am not worried too much about degradation caused by using tap water. I do make a note to shake up the QD(Optimum Quick Detailer and Gloss Enhancer at 1:3) when I am in the basement and happen to glance at the arsenal. I have never seen separation in it even after sitting for weeks. Bare in mind the QD was mixed in October and sat all winter along with the GLI and I saw no issues in performance a few weeks back when I used it. As slick as ever and seems to flash the same as always.

I have had Bilt Hamber Touchless sit diluted in foamers and cannons without issue. Bilt Hamber specifies it can be kept stored that way for a long time without problems. I'm sure water quality plays a part in the matter.

i dunno, different chemical make up differs from one product to another but i'm no chemist. i don't like to waste product and learn to go off what my experience has been...
