Since I live in Vegas and it gets soooOOO hot out here, I store my products that will go bad in the heat inside my house and the rest in the Garage. Now I have them all over the place and get an ear full from the Warden all the time. How do you guys handle this?

Earplugs......but really, I have less of a concern in Minnesota with heat, and more with cold. I have enough space on a rack in our utility room to store products. During the 5 days it is above freezing I leave the common use stuff out in the garage (APC, ONR, UWW+, degreaser, etc.). Most of my waxes are in my beer fridge in the basement.

I had....emphasis HAD....a similar situation so I picked up some Steralite (sp??) Containers with lids at Wal-Mart. They come in all shapes & sizes, are translucent so you can see what's inside & stack nicely.

I bought one for towels & pads and short stuff (like wax) that fits under the bed and one more for taller stuff that fit in a hall closet.

Ultimately, I got rid of the problem & I put my stuff where ever I please.

LOL!

Similar here...with storage I mean. I have a big walk-in coat closet off my front entry and I keep things in there since we don't use it for much else. Rubbermaid or Sterilite plastic clear plastic totes work perfect. I leave my soaps and APC, etc outside spring thru fall. Polishes, waxes/sealants, tire gels, leather conditioners, etc. all stay inside year round. Humidity probably the bigger problem here in Iowa during summer.

I leave everything except waxes and coatings outside Spring - Fall... sure it gets hot and humid, but oh well... way too much work for me to tote everything inside and out every few days. Coatings and waxes are stored in my basement in a humidity controlled room.

Everything gets brought inside for the Winter.

As of now I keep everything in my garage in a cabinet. If all goes as planned I will have heat in the garage before winter, so everything will probably stay there. If not I will be moving most of my stuff in the house in some totes.

its hot also in s fl only thing I think about is the high end waxs they are inside in the cooler. rest is in my trailer. All is good year after year.

I feel lucky to have a 24/7 climate controlled garage, wasn't always the case. I used to use the ex's closest... much better use than packed with her Imelda Marcos Jr shoe collection :yolo:

That's almost exactly what I do.

Cleaners, pads, towels, polishes, compounds all stay in cabinets in the garage. And even near the beach in West Los Angeles the in garage temps can go over 125 degrees on the hottest days.

All my "expensive stuff" stays in a bedroom closet that's on an inside wall. Very little temperature change from day to day. Maybe as low as 60 in the winter and 78 in the summer.

And I spotted a fireproof high security legal size filing cabinet at a garage sale and keep all my power tools in it. I had the lock changed to the same kind as on my Matco Tool Box so I only have to worry about one key.

Most "Wardens" love/appreciate organization; anything you can do to make things look organized will help. My MF towels and foam/terry cloth/MF pads are folded neatly in clear Steralite containers--next to my neatly-placed cleaners/shampoos/polishes on a shelf in the garage. Temp-sensitive items (waxes) are in the laundry/mud room pretty much out of sight.

Here in Texas it can get brutal hot in the garage during summer but it can also get below freezing once and a while during winter. My solution is to use shoe storage hangers for most of my supplies. Just put your bottles in the compartments and hang them over doors you don't use much such as in the garage during spring and fall and inside closet doors in the house during summer and winter. Just move them from door to door as needed as a single unit. I'll try to post photos of a couple of the storage hangers I use.
