streaking using cquartz

Hey Mike I just did a Mazerati for a car show. solid ppg black .
steps I took for paint care.
1 Ironx
2 clayed
3 menzerna SI w flex, blue Lc hybrid
4 50/50 IPA
5 meg 205 w flex , white Lc hybrid
6 50/50 IPA
7 cquartz w cotton pad 1 panel at a time
it seemed weird to me the way the cquartz was reacting
to the paint so I did a test spot waited 20 min and microfibered
looked great, well the rear quarter panels had major steaking so I pulled
it back in the shop and went over it again.,why do u think it steaked so bad? ive done over 7 cars and never had this happen.
also I had read that u can go over it with 10% IPA 90% h2o
after microfibering it to clean it up alil and it wont hurt it
what is ur take on this? THANKS bro.

looks like the surface wasnt clean from oil/polish solvents enough
IPA 50/50 doesnt remove thoroughly oily residues from surface.
Megs polish are pretty oily stuff.. must clean very well after.
specially if you coat on flat black color.
how was the MF wiping off? new ones?
how was the room temp. while applying?
 
From what I have read I have it stuck in my mind that CarPro Eraser should be used in place of IPA.
 
only time I had streaking with the product was when it was used in direct sun, which you are not suppose to do. after that I made sure I was in the shade and no more streaks. if you were not in the sun then it seems the oils were still present from the polish.

I had a feeling it was oil residue.
I went back and IPA it again then added another coat.
It was a lil rough before to get off
I used a brand new MF. I waited about 20 min before wipin.
The car came out mint for the show , the car was stopping traffic.

and it is just AMAZING.
It like to find out where I can get or buy sum blk polo shirts
w CARPRO or CQUARTZ on it cause I offer it to everyone
I come in contact w, even summore lil product information papers
I could give to future clients.
