I was scared today when doing a van before I washed the windshield i hit the bug guts with apc and scrubbed them using a scrubber and that worked but when I went to finish with a rinseless these BAD grease runs appeared and I could not remove them i tryed resrubbing and they won't come off at all.

1st could that be caused by my apc drying in the sun?
2nd will claying work
3rd HELP
4th do I need to polish these streaks from hell

My guess is that the APC dried on the surface and created the streaks. I've had it happen before on a hot summer day with OPC on a windshield. I had to use a polish to remove

I'd maybe try 91% IPA, or Rain-X. Or a good glass waterspot remover like from Pinnacle, but that might mean ordering, wait times.

Yes, Acetone and even Denatured Alcohol are both superb glass cleaners, and not sure about Denatured Alcohol, but Acetone could be very risky around plastics and paint. Not to mention that it is a quite dangerous and toxic chemical.

So denatured alchol may work??

When this happened to me I used some m205 on an old microfiber towel and polished the glass by hand. It took all of about 3 minutes to get it looking new again.
