Hey everyone, so I just got a "new" 2006 Mustang gt. I'll post some pictures up later in the post. It's tungsten grey and it came with matte black stripes. The stripes are in ok condition but they are starting to fade on the roof a but. I don't really care for stripes all that much so I thought about taking them off. My question is, do you think I would have an issue with the area under the stripes being a slightly different color do to everything else possibly being faded a bit just from being more exposed? If you do think that, would I just be able to polish it and get it to match? If I would have an issue with that I may just take them off and then get new stripes. At least then the stripes wouldn't have a faded look to them. Here is the car.

If it were me, I'd remove the stripes and polish the whole car. Love that color!

I would just leave the stripes up/replace them not because of sale value or anything but cause more than likely that's the way he/she was born from the factory, and you would not wanna be changed if you where that mustang but it's your pick though whether you keep or replace the stripes or remove them, and try to compound/polish the paint to blend in with the rest

No way those side stripes were installed at the factory. I say remove them, polish the paint and hit it with an LSP. Nice car.
