New Vergin 2014 Mustang with dealer installed stripes on hood, roof and trunk. Is it ok to apply wax or sealant over stripes? Car is race red with black stripes. Recomendations for making this combo Pop. Thanks in advance!

Congratulations and good luck with the new Mustang!

I'm assuming that the stripes are vinyl and glossy black? If yes then a carnauba based product should prove successful. Vinyl stripes are soft and can scratch easily. Don't compound or polish them and be careful next to their edge as they can lift...

I would say they are vinyl. They are not glossy. Almost flat. Could a sealant be applied and a wax on top?

Can these vinyl stripes be removed. They were applied before car was put on showroom.

I just recently completed a detail on a '13 Boss 302LS and it had matte gray vinyl stripes. They were protected with WGDGPS and had no gloss effect on the stripes. Just did a Gloss black w/Matte black striped '08 GT500KR this past weekend. I used 303 Aerospace Protectant on those stripes without an issue as well.
In addition to working on vinyl striped vehicle, I own a 2011 Subaru Sti that I vinyl wrapped in Matte White. I use the following products that do not affect the look of the vinyl either:

- Wolfgang Spritz Sealant
- WGDGPS
- CG V7
- CG P40 Detailer
- Megs Ultimate Quik Detailer
- Megs Ultimate Spray Quik Wax

I just treat it like paint :)... without polishing of course!

My stripes are matte black. I wax over them everytime with no effect to the matte. Def no polish on them though
