OK, while I may have been born & raised in the Motor City, I've been living in Tennessee so please forgive my recheck ingenuity, this idea just came to me so i fashioned the prototype with items on hand.

I think, when I get some time, I'm going to rework this to use a rounded piece of a rubberized fiberglass rod but if you're looking for a way to apply your rubber/vinyl/plastic trim detailer to those impossible to reach areas in your engine compartment, this will definitely work in a pinch.

You have to be creative sometimes to get the job done.

great idea! Ive got a set of pimp stixx from my motorcycle detailing days and have fashioned something simular. Love those no buck and low buck tips!

Heh, I actually just took a super thick coat hanger I had and cut it apart, just gotta think of a way to get some sort of wash media hooked snugly onto the end and bam, cheap wheel woolie!
