so i bought the c quartz uk package with the small 4 inch applicators and used them
doing one car. so my question is with some c quartz left how do i get theses applicators.
they don't sell them here. they only have the big ones to remove the high spots and buff off.
i was told i can buy these and cut them but when i called car pro he said they were different
then the applicator ones. just want to know if some of you do cut the big ones and is there any difference. thanks

If CarPro (Corey?) says they're different...
Who am I to say otherwise?

The questions here, IMO, should be:
{Even so, if being different is true}...
Will they not work for your intended purpose?
Has anyone said anything to the contrary?

AG has them! I ordered a 10 pack and they are the same as the ones in the kits. You can also buy the larger ones and cut them down to size using notching scissors to avoid lint.

The applicator block can be reused many times as long as you clean it thoroughly after each use. I usually throw my applicator block and large micro suede buffing cloths in a bucket of OPC to soak for a few hours. Then I just rinse well and dry off the block and launder the buffing cloths. The only thing I throw away is the application cloth.

I followed this suggestion, simple, but great idea for PBL coatings. I just toss mine after use, they are inexpensive.

if u cut down one of the bigger suede towels it will fray . I wonder if using one of them zig zag type scissors would help with that ?

Pinking Shears...your Mom or Grandmother has a pair fo sho.

In theory these things are supposed to make applying coatings easier but I'd argue all day the best way to apply a coating in my opinion is with a short nap microfiber towel or waffle weave towel. The block is a solid rigid flat surface which is applied in straight lined or cross hatched patterns. Unfortunately your car's panels aren't flat. Even a good MF applicator works great immediately followed by another thorough final wipe with a short nap MF towel.

While there is a SLIGHT difference in the material composition, you can definitely cut the 16"x16" suede’s down and use them for application (I do it all the time). I can assure you that if you talk to Corey at Carpro-us he will tell you the same thing. However if you would rather use the 4”x4” ones, they have those in stock as well.
