For qutie sometime now I have been using a leather cleaner/conditioner in one while I have been happy with the conditioning results Im looking for something with a littler more cleaning power any suggesstions fellas?

Go to the shoe care section of the grocery store or someplace like Wal Mart or Target and get some saddle soap. It's inexpensive and does a great job cleaning and softening leather. Besides that...you can use it for your shoes!

from AG website in leatherique rejuvenator oil description:

Note: We strongly advise against saddle soap, as it has been known to remove the dye from the leather

I personally use wolfgang and pinnacle leather cleaning/protectant products. The Pinnalce leather cleaner is awesome it just takes a little agitation and stains ( like the paint I had on my seats) goes away.

There is no way in hell im going to use saddle soap ive heard nothing but horror stories sense this is a AUTO detail forum im looking for a more automotive based leather cleaner

anybody???

I recently picked up some Zaino leather cleaner (Z9) and conditioner (Z10). I must say they both work very well with no glossy look or feel. Smells great too.

I had some dye transfer from a new pair of blue jeans onto my tan leather seats. The Z9 took it right off. :righton:

Meguiars Gold Class (Spray version) or Lexol work well too. just be sure to follow up with a clean dry cloth or they can leave a very light glossy look.

Connolly offer a very nice and safe leather cleaner. I also like the original Pinnacle leather cleaner (not the AIO cleaner/conditioner).

Woolite/Water at 10:1 works great. Then use a Conditioner after it is clean

Leatherique works very well. It is the best deep cleaning leather product I have ever used. I use it not only on my car, but on my coats and shoes. For best results, the leather must be heated to open up the pores. I sit the car in the sun for several hours and it works beautifully. I bought the vehicle used and it turned my shiny driver's seat back to new.

+1 for Zaino Cleaner and Conditioner. They are the only ones i use. Love the fresh leather smell....

I really like Lexol, and Four Star leather cleaners! Clean very well, because they are gel!!! I do though take an extra step to "rinse" leather before conditioning it by simply wiping it down with a damp MF towel after I'm done cleaning leather.

For cleaning - Woolite 10:1 or 8:1 with water is all you need. Cheap and effective. For protection try 1Z or Zaino.

I went ahead and got some Lexol spray cleaner ima give it a try my plan is

1.heat the leather up I got heated seats
2. spay lexol and massage it in with a soft nail cleaning brush
3. wipe off with a damp MF cloth
4. Condition

Actually cleaned the interior of my wife's minivan today(we have 3 kids). Cleaned the black leather seats with woolite mix and the stuff takes off coffee, lolipop residue, shoe scuffs from the kid kicking seat without much elbow grease. works awesome!

I've got Connoly and Blue Magic, and some others I'm forgetting for some reason lol. The Blue Magic stuff I picked up over the counter and IMO is top notch, the leather/vinyl cleaner and the conditioner work so well, but really any of the boutique products are great as well.

Saddle soap? Not me. Lexol
Years ago my mom use to use Murphy's Oil soap. I never tried it. I would use that before saddle soap!
