Hey guys,
Need your professional suggestions on the best tar and sap remover. I have a vehicle with tar and tree sap on the side and on the hood and I have tried Meg D101 and Meg D108 and neither one was able to remove the tar totally. Next I have tried using clay bar and was able to get the tar 'cut' down to where it is smooth to the touch but you can still see it. I know it sounds weird but it is really giving me a fit. Any suggestions on how to remove the tar and sap completely without machine polishing? Would CarPro Tar X be a good option?

Plastic blade might help
i mostly use one of the plastic cards you get in the mail to sign you up for medical insurance or whatever.

great. I really like Stoner invisible glass cleaner. I will have to give this a shot.

I too am a fan of terminator a hair cheaper than most others on the market and great performance! Not to mention readily available at most local auto parts stores as well making it a nice to know you won't get stuck waiting for it to come in the mail if you run out!

Tarminator.

After that, CarPro TarX. Gyeon Tar is okay.

Tarminator fan here too!

Just be careful around headlights, taillights, and marker signals. It will cloud some up.

I switched from Tarminator to Tar-X cause I liked it better. I do still like Tarminator so if one is easier for you to get I dont think you can go wrong. I think I like the spray bottle of Tar-X more than I like the Aerosol application of Tarminator and that is what won me over.

I am a definite Tarminator fan now. I have now used this on several cars and it works great on tar, sap and bug removal. Thanks for the recommendation guys.

Stoner's Tarminator is the best I've ever used. Never disappointed, just wish the can lasted longer...

I use Tarminator for tar. I haven't tried Tar-X.

Isoprophyl alcohol to remove sap.

Lacquer thinner keep off painted stripes and plastic .Takes it off no problem and no marring. For tar I use gasoline if its heavy.

I've used tar x with adhesive remover but diluted denatured alcohol (sap)or mineral spirits would work..also turpentine.(sap).out of the 3 mineral
Spirits would do both well
