Summer coming to AZ.

Bill, I came across something that may interest you on the rust aspect
Protect Guns (and RVs) with CorrosionX

Dave

Thanx Dave!

I have heard about this product (somewhere in my past) and had/have completely forgotten about it.

To add injury to insult, I was finishing off the wife's car yesterday ( its' yearly BIG exterior detail) and right above the right wheel fender, a damn'd rust bubble! About the size of a dime. Looks like it time to get the air-brush out and do some sanding and painting. A LOT of my military speech was expressed upon seeing THAT! (LOL)

Thanx again for the link.

Cars and trucks have water spot....... And it's too hot to polish them out. Lame dirt rain.. Will have to wait till fall.. You're. Lucky to be able to detail your exterior at this time of year BillE.

Hope it's not rust from the inside out, more trouble if it is. Aren't air brushes wonderful, wouldn't be without one. If I lived in those areas I would be looking for 55 gallon drums of that stuff and spraying every lip and spot weld I could find along with everything else.

No water spots here thank goodness. When I was using Zaino I never had water spots and now with DG the tradition continues. I have been using DG rain repel on the windows and they pretty much were clean and crystal clear thru all of this. I really "LIKE" the rain repel in case you did not notice.

BUT, you can 'detail' in January! While I'm cutting new blocks of snow/ice for a new igloo...LOL.

Love the air-brush. Been a few years (boy, that's an understatement) since I've used it. Just gotta remember the reducer to paint ratios etc. Looks like outside rust only. Hopefully tomorrow I can look into it more, gotta run up the "The Cities" today.

Which DG product doesn't leave water spots? I'm using powerlock on the cars an UPW on the blac truck.

One vehicle with 601/105 the other 601/501. Neither one has spots 24/7 outdoors. They use to have Z2 Pro with zfx and no spots. The DG is maintained with 901, 932, Aqua Wax and/ or 521.

Monsoon season threw a nice one last night. Phoenix got a major dust storm again and areas in the valley had flooding. Trees unrooted etc. pic of before the storm

That was quite a storm. I had to go out this morning to male sure all the vent covers etc. were still on the 5ver. Weather said Tempe received 3/4".

Discounting the damage storms can cause, that's a neat picture.

We didn't get any of that rain either.

But, it's finally raining now. I'm going out on the back patio to watch.;);)

That rain you see in the pic hit us 20min later. Lasted 45min POURING. Soaked my cloths in 15 sec. This was around 5pm

September is the worst month in Phoenix. September is nice everywhere else in the world, Northern hemisphere, Southern hemisphere, you name it. Not Phoenix. In Phoenix, its been summer since early May and by the third week of September, the people there look like they are ready to shoot themselves (or someone else).

I had relatives visit from somewhere else. We were eating in a restaurant one summer when it started to rain hard---everyone in the restaurant got up and ran to look out the window. He couldn't believe it.

I live in Florida, but for a while it would rain right at 4 or 5 pm, just as I was leaving work. I drove home several times soaked in rain, soaked in sweat, so miserable. Started bringing my umbrella into work with me, never needed it until I left it in my car. As soon as I was leaving work one day last week, it was pouring like crazy. I waited in the break room until it stopped, lol.

Lol, I enjoy the rain in sept though, makes offroading amazing when it stops.

AZ. is not all Desert as some think. This is a Campground in Flagstaff. I do this at least once a year just to relax and get away from the heat for a while. The only draw back is the Pine mist and cleaning that has to be done when I go back down to home. Highs around 70 lows in high 40's. Rain almost daily and rained all day on Saturday. The mountain in the background is the ski resort Arizona Snowbowl.
