Well, I am a teacher/coach for most of the year and after June taking my wrestling team all over, I try to relax! This summer I wanted to redo my garage so I could clean my cars ;)

Now where should I hang the AG banner????
Trying to collect old oil & gas signs and cans...

That looks GREAT! All you're missing is the TV on the wall and the fridge full of beer....err....soda! :righton:

What kind of lighting would you recommend. I need to improve the lighting in my garage. Looks great.

Looks pretty sweet! Nice and clean (for now :D). Do you work on other cars or just your own? Me personally, I would add way more lighting. I want to finish my garage and add additional lighting. I just wish I had a 2 car instead of a 1 car garage :(. Thanks for sharing!

'I' would do 4 8 footers running running from front to back and then 4 4footers to connect them. So you would have 2 rectangles of lights.

The garage looks awesome though!!

I picked these up and bulbs for about $55.00 from Home Depot. It made a WORLD of difference!!! I could use some light towards the front of the garage, but for right now it seems to be working.

That back wall is against the house yes? I ask b/c with all those nice new products, you don't want them to freeze in the winter.

Not sure where you are located so you may or may not need to worry about this. Very nice garage. I've never seen one so clean!

I have 6 - 8' lights in my 3 car. Lights it up pretty good. Plus I have a light under my bench. Can't have enough light!

Haha. To be honest my wife helped a ton! I guess since she has the house, I can have a man cave in the garage!

The epoxy floor is a two person job!

That garage belongs in a Magazine or something, it Looks great!

Love the Pennz can(s) with the REAL oil spout stuck in it!

Hate to think how many of those stickers I've tossed over the years as they wore out...LOL.

Get yourself a cold beverage (of your choice) and just sit back and gloat.

Nice job...

Bill

I'm getting garage envy! Good job, enjoy teh fruits of your labor!

I love the old tanks and signs...

I just moved about a month ago, and I gave three old gas cans to my neighbor that were in mint condition. They were no less than 30 years old as they were my grandfather's when he owned that house, and he passed away in 1983. He definitely didn't buy them in the last couple years of his life. You should have made this thread two months ago and I would have sent them to ya!

That garage looks excellent. I envy the lack of "stuff" you have in there. We have a three car garage and the third bay is loaded with "stuff." This thread makes me want to stuff everything up in the garage attic! Unfortunately, the furnace, water heater and water softener must stay.

Exactly what floor coating did you use? You say it was a two person job. Can you provide a little bit of detail on what brand/kit you used and what was involved? How is it holding up now that you're parking a car(s) in it?

Y2KSVT - I tend to do a ton of research when I am going to make a purchase. After doing research I settled on Epoxy-Coat
Epoxy Paint For Garage Floors – Epoxy-Coat.com

They had the best price and reviews - also it is not water-based. The shortest cure time - I did it Sunday morning and I pulled my car on it Wednesday evening.

The day before you have to wash and etch the cement (they provide the chemicals) and I let that dry overnight. The next morning my wife and I put it down - I would mix (you have a set time to do this) and then pour it out and she would cut in by the wall and I would spread the product, then she would backroll the epoxy. We were done with the garage in about 45 minutes.
I love the floor - makes a huge difference!

If you havent already, I would suggest a clear coat over the top of it all. At my old shop we had an epoxy floor with flakes. The floor cleaned up real nice but the white flakes got dirty.
