So, as a mobile detailer, I have run into an issue one too many times, that I am sure some of you have as well.

I detail a lot of bigger farm trucks. Now, some of the places I have to detail does not have any sort of usable shade and these trucks are to large to fit under a normal pop-up canopy.

Now, I have thought about this and believe I have come up with a fairly simple solution, but was curious if anyone here has been down this road.

My plan is to get a sun shade sail that is 16'x16', and than use pvc pipe to make support poles that are roughly 10' high. I will than make a have base for each pole out of concrete to anchor the poles into. This should provide a 16'x16' canopy that is tall and wide enough to accommodate these bigger trucks.

Thoughts?

Here is the sail I am looking into. It should be lightweight and breathable enough to not cause any issues.

Doesn't seem like a bad idea. Looking forward to see the outcome if you actually do it.

I'm having trouble seeing this in my head, but it is approaching 3am.

I would use outdoor umbrella bases, the kind that can be filled with water. They would be light enough to move around, but (maybe) heavy enough to support the canopy.
