Sunglasses

Maui Jims baby, just got turned on to them and love em, lightweight, great lenses, and I really like the style. First pair of sunglasses I have ever bought over $100.

Maui Jims is what I have in my vehicle. Bought mine right after I had Lasek. Great Warranty also. I also have a pair of Serengeti which I take on my business trips.

:iagree: Another vote for Maui Jims. Love the weight and feel, almost forget I have them on most of the time.

IMO Costa Del Mar and Maui Jim make the best glasses. I've had many pairs of glasses, and they always seem to break or get lost. My last set was a nice pair of Costas, and I left them at the batting cages like a dumbass. Now I'm on a cheap $60 set of Arnettes that I've had for a few months and I'm pretty happy with them, but I'll probably pick up another set of Costas or Mauis soon.

LOVE THEM!!! Plus I need the bullet proof case you get with them so I don't sit my big butt on them! Very lightweight, and I have not scratched them and had them almost a year! That is a miracle alone!:righton:

After reading all the comments about sunglasses I have gotten an education on this . But I have a question about prescription sunglasses . I want and need some real good sunglasses and need some advice on which to go with and how to pick out a style . Help , please .

Your best bet is to go to a local place, and try on A LOT of sunglasses. Find which frame style fits you the best, determine what type of lenses you want (some are better for fishing, some for driving, etc...but polarized is a must in any case IMO) and how much you want to spend, and that should narrow your choices down. :)

Another vote for Maui Jims! Polarized polycarb frames ftw! Only problem is that I can't wear them inside my helmet.

I'm a big fan of Serengeti's for driving, especially the amber polarized lenses. When not driving I like Ray Ban's polarized, solidly built and don't scratch easy. As somelse has said though, try to find a retailer that carries alot of different frames and find a couple that fit your face correclty and are comfortable.

I wear Maui Jim's. I had a pair of revo's and b/c they used a glass lens in that pair the optical clarity was better than the plastic lens in my Maui's. That being said, I get better definition with the Maui's. I don't remember all the different lens colors (the tint of the lens, not the mirror coating) that Maui offers, but if you want darker, go with the grey lens and if you want better definition and IMO plenty of light reduction, go with the brown lenses.

Wiley-x for me because the wife gets them free during deployment :D. I don't really use sun glasses. These looked good on my though so I use them.

so far I bought another pair of Revos (cannot beat their polarized protection), a set of Kaenon, and bidding on the boating/fishing ones you all suggested. Looking for Maui's too. Call it a head to head (would that be a pun) challenge.

did anyone hear me??? i said GATORZ!!!! ARE THE BEST . for crying out loud!!!!!!

Maui Jim's rock! Been wearing them for a few years now, my eyes are light sensitive (blue eyes) and I love the protection. No scratches and they're holdin' up great.

Oh man....I can't even walk outside with my eyes open half the time, especially if it's a light shade of concrete (I'm not kidding...sometimes I have to walk with my eyes closed if I don't have sunglasses on!) LOL.
