I still have a pair i use when i jump into Grenada and use in the Gulf War....

Seemingly all good suggestions so far, except maybe the Gatorz :D

I've been using exclusively Ray Bans and Costa Del Mars for the last couple of years, and love them.

I have and owned and worn most of the top brands and my 2 favorites are Prada and My Maui Jims. Really nice quality lenses .I am severly sensetive to light in one of my eyes do to an accident as a child so I can't were those cheap shades the poor quality of the lenses give me a headache. The Maui Jim's are my latest purchase since about november and I really love the light and well made and the lense quality is superb. These are the ones I have But in Black with grey lenses

Bringing this back from the dead. My wife purchased an early B-day gift for me since I liked the Wiley X's so much. She/we looked at different frames from Maui Jims, Oakley, and wiley x. Maui Jim's Black/Grey Canoes won and they just came in today.

I haven't worn them all that much since it's been over cast all day. But I can tell you they feel lighter then my wilieyX do and just more comfortable. I can't wait to drive down to Ga for a solid road test.

my folks got me a pair of oakley whiskers with the polarized lenses. def the nicest pair of sunglasses i have ever owned. i usually buy the 20-30 dollar cheapies.

Corning Serengeti. Been wearing them for 25 years. Different styles of course. My optometrist says they are great protection for your eyes. No
he doe's not sell them to me. Buy them at Walmart for the best price.
Usually 90 bucks.

I started wearing Costa Del Mar's with polarized lenses for the past year. Light, polarized, and designed for the boating industry and reflections off the water. So far I am pleased as they list for 250-300 but can commonly find them on Ebay for 100.00.

I am with you Killrwheels, Costa all the way.

I live in South Florida too and do a lot of fishing with my Kayak. The Costa's are perfect for fishing and for driving. Best thing about them is that they go from the brightest sun to rain and I don't have to take them off.

I'm on my second pair, first was with the 400 glass now I have upgraded to the 580 lenses. Great pair of glasses with a lifetime warranty. What more could you ask for?

I personally wear the Harpoons with the Green Mirror/Copper 580 lens.

I love the good sunglesses as well. I currently have Ray Ban's but have had Revo's, Wiley x and others. I will have to say, I just got back from Florida and a buddy of mine came up to Destin where i was for a few days and he just got a pair of the Maui Jim's and I will have to say, those are probably the best glass i've seen on any sunglasses I've had or tried. I didn't care for the wire nose pads but i love the ones posted above. I believe this is my next pair as my Ray Ban's are at least 4 years old now.

I agree with you 100%. I've been wearing my Costa Del Mar's for 8 years. I love them. Some of the best sunglasses you can buy in my opinion.

I actually was able to snag a different pair then the ones I've had for 8 years for $35 brand new on Ebay. Love 'em! Costa all the way!

_____________
Update 2010
------------------

Whats everybody wearing now ??? Recently broke my Costa frameless and found they discontinued the design. Not really into bigger frames (ala Jersey Shore Snookie Lookie) so wondered whats the hit. They must be polarized. I also see Aviators are coming back in style, but unfortunately my age shows that I remember when they were originally in style thru the 80's.

Maui Jims seems like a good starting point ??
