As I wait for my dad to bring his 2015 Altima for me to detail, I wanted to show off my new canopy setup. Academy had a sale 10x10 for $48. I'm gonna enjoy the shade and I know the car will too. Pics of the car forthcoming.

Thats really a great shade! Better than working in the sun. Good job!

Very nice !!! Looks like you are all set. Don't forget some pics of the finished job :)

And this is why I never use a canopy.

Once I purchased weights I never had an issue again. And without it i'd be in serious trouble...gets the paint temperature stable enough to work on, otherwise i'd be frying eggs instead of correcting paint. Amazon sells some awesome weights that i'd highly recommend.

Cool. I will probably pick up a canopy eventually.

Two buckets, shop vac, yep I'd say your ready!

Nice garage for after hours corrections too :)

Make sure you get some weights...I learned the hard way

Great suggestion and I will be. Do you used the sand bag weights?

In the interim I used my jack stands and zip ties. Worked out really well. Lol.

Do a search for US Weight U0030 Canopy Weights on Amazon

How do you guys get those lines in the carpet? Ive tried with my ridgid shop vac and I cant seem to get those nice lines in the carpet no matter what attachments I use. Good work by the way car looks amazing!

Best way I know to describe what I do is when you push the attachment forward you will make a straight line, then bring it back at a slight angle. Repeat over and over. Also keep what you are vacuuming facing the same way. Don't rotate it with each pass.

I'm pretty sure Larry shows that technique towards the end of this video

Great video!!! Thx for sharing. Seems I get better lines out of higher pile carpets than lower pile.
