Only 515 coupes produced, all original and only 6000 miles! Im the MAN

- Yellow Riccardo clay
- M105 on purple wool on some deep scratches
- M105 using the KB method on an orange pad on the complete car
- SIP on white a pad
- PO106FF on a black pad
- IPA wipedown
- 2x EX-P
- 2x Souveran

Good job, nice reflection. The engine compartment could use some CD2.
 
Nice work on the Cobra, although, I have a question? Why did you not clean the wheel wells? I know you spent a vast amount of time cleaning the Cobra.

That is the best demo of the color change capability of the Mystichrome paint I've ever seen.

Can I put a link to your thread over on SVT?
 
nice job what machine did you use i assume a rotary since you used a wool pad i just ordered the flex lk603vvb so i was just curious. looks great though:cheers:

I don't get it. :confused: Which picture are you refering to? I cleaned them using the Daytona Speed Master Wheel Brush combined with some Meguiar's APC. What you might see is a very deep area that I wasn't able to reach with the Chemical Guys Black Forever. Everything was perfectly clean.

The pictures don't give credit to the engine. The DP engine degreaser + 303 protectant gave 99.9% perfect results.
 
Gah, ya'll are busting his balls about the process.

I'm more shocked the car was THAT bad in only 5 years/6k miles.

My car is the same age (Redfire) with nearly 3x's that mileage and has only been polished once. I can't imagine what this car was washed with...geez. Massive swirlage!

Results look great! I would NOT use anything on the engine bay either. Clean and 'factory' just like you did is proper. Spraying greasy crap all over the bay screams "used car" on a car of this nature.

I took it that you were questioning whether or not he performed this action, as it is common to do so post-polishing to remove any oils that may remain so all paint defects can be found/evaluated properly.

An IPA wipedown is where you wipe the surface down with Isopropyl Alcohol (rubbing alcohol) to remove any remaining polishing oils so you can accurately check your work since polishing oils can sometimes hide swirls/defects and prevent bonding issues with sealants and other products.

Not sure which way you meant it, but hope that clears it up for ya.

That really is, post them up on svt. Im sure people will drool over them.

Xcessiv good job brotha, that paint looks perfect. gotta love a good paint correction and some pinnacle souveran.
