Surbuf R Series Buffing Pads

Nobody seems to use these since microfiber pads came out. I've never used them, but IIRC they left some hazing, I guess between MF, the advanced wools, and some of the new foams, these pads just became an also-ran.
 
You must be right Setec. But I have heard they will out cut the megs discs. I figured some mite still use these pads for heavy cutting?
 
They will slightly out cut the DMC, but the hazing is twice as bad and you give back any time savings during the polishing step
 
I have them and sometimes use them with my Flex 3401. Never hurts to have options and I have found that they do cut very well but in fact do leave some haze so I wouldn't recommend them as a single polishing step option. Expect to use foam and a finish polish after.

I use them with Menzerna pf2500 or fg400 it seems when I do use them.
 
Another thing to mention is I feel like I use less product with these pads. They mention just 3 small dots and it seems the product does spread better and work pretty well using less compared to using foam.
 
I've got several that i never use any more. I used them a few times with GG6 and 105 ( and a lubricant) and if used properly they do cut heavily but leave a haze.

I no longer use them and they are like new if anyone wants them for free. You have to be in the Phoenix area as I don't have time to ship. Just let me know if any of you want them and they are yours!
