Surf City Beyond Black Tire Pro Spray 24 oz.

Having had installed the new tires on the truck this morning, it was obvious it was time to formally review this new product. While I have used it before, this was an opportunity to use on a fresh set of tires with no previous dressings.

Immediately apparent is that this spray comes out of the bottle in a blue color and quite watery in consistentcy. It does not feel very lubricated and appears to have no silicones in its makeup.

Normally I consider dressings to be matte (303) in look or glossy (Armor All Gel). Most seem to take on one of these two appearances, and yet this does not. It is quite black in color but not as reflective and bright as normal gloss coatings. Very black, and very deep looking.

This product again is very watery in design and can be used quite sparingly. It does dry extremely well on its own and this will lead to less sling. It looked so dry and felt so much so after 10 minutes that I did not rewipe as I would with most glossy dressings. We will measure any sling this afternoon.

All in all a nice product, with looks that are extremely noticable and stand out without the glare and reflection of gloss. For those looking for black tires and somewhat of a matte appearance, this is likely the dressing for you.

Pics are front / rear after 10 minutes drying time. No prewash and no previous dressing on brand new tires.

Nice, going to add this one. Keep up with durability on it and let me know, thats why I use gel instead. I was looking to switch to a new dressing.

Nice review and it's nice to see some pictures, Killr. I perfer a wipe on gel over a spray that usually gets on your rims and paint.

Do you think it could be applied with a MF applicator easily?
Do you think it would extend the use of the product aka less waste?

Thanks Scott!

Justin, I have been appling it with a TC applicator. And 1 spray for normal size tire, and about 1 1/2 spray for larger tires.

So you just spray on and no wiping?

I spray on a foam applicator and circle the tires two times. Then allowed to dry without any buffing or rewipe. Surprisingly there was very little spitup although I should note it was 80 degrees here in S Florida yesterday.

Thanks for the review, pics and extra info. SC has some really nice products.
