I'm a little disappointed.

I was given SCG products as gifts this past December, from those with good intentions.

Got their leather conditioner, glass cleaner, shampoo, interior cleaner, and spray wax.

So far, the leather conditioner has left what feels like a waxy coating on leather seats, interior cleaner does not clean well, shampoo is OK as a shampoo, glass cleaner is streaky and doesn't cut through glass grime, and the spray wax is not slick and grabs at my microfiber when buffing...

I realize that SCG has a buy back program, but i did not purchase these items, and i don't want to hurt the feelings of those who got the gifts for me.

*sigh*../endrant

But their name sounds very cool. That should count for something, no?

Indeed.

I'll still keep them around i guess. I can always use more auto shampoo, and I guess i can't rule anything out after one go around with the products.. Except for the leather conditioner. Failed on more than one attempt...

Just a very lackluster first impression of the products.

Havent really used much of their products. I once used the Carnuba Wax liquid version, don't recall the name. Wasn't impressed.

I frequently use their drying towel though.

see i use there dash away (interior cleaner) an actually thought it was pretty good. In fact i used some today on my interior. their tire shine isn't to bad either... just my .02

I really like their wash and wax, glass cleaner and tire pro dressing. I've also heard good things about their bug/tar remover.

the tire shine is nice but at 3 bucks more than meg. endurance...i dunno

I really like the Dash Away interior cleaner and Voodoo leather rejuvenator. Only two scg products I've used but I've found they work great for cleaning and treating my leather seats and motorcycle jackets. Makes the leather noticeably softer and makes the next cleaning much easier. I plan to try the tire gel to compare to the DP tire and trim I'm currently using.

The only items that have impressed me:

- Road Trip Grime Destroyer (excellent bug remover)
- Beyond Black Tire Pro
- Dash Away (excellent for cleaning rubber floor mats)
- Killer Chrome

They have the best glass cleaner hands down. I have never had a streak even on the hottest day.

To each their own i guess.

I just was not impressed with the performance of any of those products on their first trial.

I'll give them another shot with different outdoor conditions and a different vehicle, but i don't have high hopes.

The leather conditioner to me feels too waxy and slick - i don't like the way i slide around on my leather seats after it's applied.

If anyone would like to barter a trade for it, i have nearly a full bottle.

OP, you could give the stuff away to others, everyone knows someone who doesn't take care of their cars too much, perfect!

Yup. This :iagree:

I figured i'd put it out to the forum members first.

I'll give the other products another shot.
