Approximately 50% of early 1964, through the end of the 1967 model Corvettes,My 66 STINGRAY coupe has the AOS AO Smith body and I hear they were more rare.
When they were shipping them back to the Corvette plant the fiberglass was cracking so
they beefed up the fiberglass. Look at your serial number see it it say AOS.
The only thing I did not like on my 66 was the master cylinder. Had to send it to Lorton VA
for a rebuild could not get one any where.
As for the new design it will probably grow on you but calling it the stingray not even close.
May trade in my 66 for a pristine 59 vette NCRS judged frame off resto.
One more question. Why is it I see old STINGRAYS at the auctions go for less but if you do
restomod they now cost more. Was never like that as far as I can remember.
