I have a 06 vehicle silver in color and have these spots which seem to cling to paint surface. They can be removed with a lot of pressure during washing of my vehicle. The vehicle has never been waxed. My question do I need some type wax coat to prevent these particles from sticking to paint coat. I have some Mequiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer. Would this be a good product to prevent these bonded contaiminets on my paint surface?
Thanks in advance for a reply

I can feel inside how the paint would feel with the baggie test... :(

Clay is the answer to your problem.

1.Wash
2.Clay
3.Compound
4.Polish
5.Sealant/wax

Hi Ranman,

Below is the link to an article I wrote that while the title indicates it's for people with brand new cars, the fact is you can follow all the tips, techniques and recommendations for ANY car.

How To Detail Your Brand New Car by Mike Phillips

For example, this is an old truck, but it has a modern clear coat just like your 2006 vehicle. It did not look like this when it arrived but after going through the proper steps it left looking like this...

Welcome!

I agree that a clay bar is needed. Follow Mike's advice, and it will be shining in no time.
