Sweet deal on electric pressure washer! (AR 383)

Wow, that IS cheap. Almost $100 less than I paid for the AR390SS a while back, on sale. At $120 it's almost as cheap as the "disposable" no-name ones (I'm looking at you, Simoniz).

I found on my Craigslist that you can get some good ones for like $75. There was even a REALLY nice one, in box for $75. Plus you don't have to wait for shipping.

Craigslist is great, but there so much garbage to weed through. For $120 you also get a 1yr warranty :dblthumb2:

I wish companies were more honest with their mighty claims. I'm willing to bet anything that this doesn't put out anywhere close to the 1900 psi or 1.5 gpm it claims.

If only I had a proper gauge to test my sun joe vs karcher units.

It probably doesn't but neither does anything else in the price range.

I was going to post the same link. I did a lot of research on electric PWs a month ago and this was in my top 3 with Sun Joe and Karcher. If I hadn't already gone with a Gas PW I would jump on this.

Even if it runs at average 1200 psi, that's still probably 20 times more than my garden hose with fire nozzle. The description does say that 1,900 psi is the "max".

2000 psi is the max that should be used on cars. I remember hearing that from someone on this forum.

Of course its more powerful than a fire nozzle but I just hate the deceiving practice of all these pressure washer companies.

Dang, awesome deal! I bought this model a few months back and use it daily. Works great so far! The pressure is more than enough for me, but I've only ever used garden hoses before, so not too much to compare it with.

Is 1900psi enough to do sidewalks or siding?

Vinyl siding, sure. I use mine for it, with a siding cleaning agent, and a brush to agitate every up. Sidewalks however I can't comment on.

My only peeve with AR is the proprietary quick-connectors. The braided hose on the 390SS is just as awful as the black PVC hoses on lesser models, tangling and stiffening in the blink of an eye. If there is anyone here who knows of an adapter for the 390SS' male HP hose connectors to M22, I'd so love to get a Flexzilla for this thing. They look like Karcher quick-connectors but no amount of Googling can confirm that.

I have the exact same pressure washer and I used it for 4 days straight to get all the mold off a 100 ft concrete driveway, three decks and it worked like a champ. You can get a foam cannon that fits the AR from ebay that has a brass fitting. It is item #221526468599. I bought a couple of these for the hoses. Don't seem to leak. Advise using teflon tape anyway.
