I'm doing a 2012 Boss today and it has a black decal on the hood. Can this be polished at all? I would prob do it by hand.
 
If its a vinyl decal,be extremely careful as you could possibly lift it off the paint.They are also very soft compared to clear coat.

I take it as a factory installed decal?
 
If its a vinyl decal, then yes! Your safe to polish (hand or machine) :buffing:

* edit... If one of the corners is coming up be carefull
 
I have a vinyl decal on mine - I have not polished it...I just clean it and then put UTTG on it and then buff
 
On the 2012 Boss 302's, those are painted on... They have a clearcoat on them and everything. The only vinyl part is on the truck lid around the mustang emblem.
 
I was at a dealer to get my Mustang's oil changed (surprisingly cheaper than the oil change shops BTW), and they had a 2012 Boss 302. It came with the extra special DISO, free of charge. I felt so sorry for it, some spots were really bad.
 
I guess I should proof read my post a little better...I'm not sure what my title of this thread was supposed to say? LOL
