Yesterday I spent most of the day doing my Impala, I used the Wolfgang swirl remover, than the glaze sealer, then deep gloss paint sealer. I used the Orange L.C pad with the swirl remover, I would say that the swirls were moderate, but they are still present, any suggestions? Whats a better swirl remover and pad combo for moderate to deep swirls??

What kind of car is it?
What was your process, speed on the PC, etc...?

Sounds like WG just wasnt strong enough. I would invest in some XMT, PB SSR's, or Menzerna.

Was a 2003 impala, I used speed 4&5. Which poorboys do I use swirl remover 3 than 2 than 1. I read up on the XMT series, looks light the heavy duty #4 then use #3 then #2 then wax might do the trick???

Should be able to go from SSR2.5 to SSR1, alcohol wipe down, sealant, cure 12- 24 hours, wax. I wouldnt start with XMT 4. Start with XMT 2 then work your way up.

poor boy ssr's

for moderate to deep swirls/scratches should I use the PB SSR #3? Then the 2.5 and so on????? Or start with #3 then #1 Then seaL. When do you do a alcohol rub down? What type of alcohol?? Needs some swirl removal tips. Please and thanks

SSR3 and XMT 4 are compounds with heavy abrasives. Try XMT 3 with an LC Orange pad, with XMT 1 with a white pad. Should do the trick..

So is PB 2.5 the same as XMT #3. And PB #1 same as xmt #1??

Yeah pretty much bud :) Do you have any close up pics of your car? Where you can see the swirls etc..

bubbabuff swirls are no problem in removing System One with a 100%wool pad then a black foam will take out most swirls and leave it mirror try buffing between 1000 and 1200 rpm slow is the way to go, clay before you start to get rid of road grime and built up crappy polish and waxes that novices before you used. Your paints in the states are real soft.System One will take out 1000 grit scratches.good luck just remember most polishes on the market these days have so much solvents and different size cutting particles that they actually don;t take out the swirls but cut and fill after 4 washes the swirls appear, they actually didn't go away.

If you have a rotary i would HIGHLY recommend Presta swirl remover with a white polishing pad or blue finesse pad. Hasnt let me down yet. If you just have a D.A. check out Pinnacle advance swirl remover or like everyone is saying the XMT line.
