Swirl removers

SSR 3 is serious business, I personally consider it a compound. 2.5. the correct pad, and speed will get most hard tasks completed fairly easily. (just dont rush it, let the polish do its work) Finish up with 1.0 to j ewel the surface.

What would be the correct pad and the correct speed?

Without seeing the vehicle its hard to tell. I like to start with a white polishing pad and 2.5 SSR. Work each panel for 4-5 minutes at the highest speed on the PC. Wipe off .... use a little alcohol/water mix to remove any fillers and see how it looks. If its what you wanted, then move to the rest of the car. Then move to the final polish, same speed, same time, and grey or blue finishing pad.

You guys are using white or blue pads to take out swirls, scratches etc? Hmm...maybe Ford has hard clear, I had to use Optimum Compound on a yellow cuting pad for the hood, and orange for the rest of the truck and my swirls weren't that bad even under Halogens. I tried a blue polishing pad with OC and OP and it didn't do much, worked better for finishing up after compounding.

my motor gets very hot quickly on speed 6...ive been claying and trying some meguiars swirl remover(#9 i think) as well as my xmt #2 and the swirls and scratches dont seem to be budging with my orange pad.... i think i need to spend more time working each panel? im still new to the pc so yea....

overspray was so incredibly bad on my dads f350:mad:
