It probably was...but then all the dealers sell to each other. Could be the dealer wanted to get rid of it.
Carfax...I agree... I am very much concerned too for what lurks beneath the rest of the car. I do not know anyone or whom i could take it to scrutinize it...when I go back to whaere I got it....I am sure it will be "we no nothing about it sorry". Whats bothering me is how or what did they use to cover this up. Since the clear is "clear" seems you would have seen it. The car otherwize looks great all over with light swirls.
Steve,
Go over the rest of the car with a bright light and see if there's anything else similar to this or anything that looks suspicious..If you can get it up on a lift it'll give you an opportunity to look under the car as well.
So today we know there's a problem with the hood. Spend some time looking for a paint shop that's been in business for a number of years and has a good reputation. Have them look at the hood and recommend a solution.
Try not to get too bummed out. I know it's easier said than done but here's where you are today. You have a great car that might need a little work to make it pristine. If you're other wise happy with it get the hood fixed and enjoy driving a legend!!
