swirls in metallic dark grey paint

What most of these guys said, DA polisher, very little chance of burning through paint if you're careful (still need to pay attention near panel edges etc where paint is thinner and can burn through on higher speeds even with a DA). I use Meguiars Ultimate Compound, amazing stuff! If you *really* want to do it by hand (craziness!) get a friend to help you, and you'll only feel like doing one panel at a time, slow hard work!

How far are you from Woodstock? I will do your car with you(I have a PC and a Flex) for a 24 pack of Miller LITE and a few dog toys for my dogs. Come by on any Friday. It takes 30 minutes to heat my garage to almost 70. I also have a shiny newNanoskin pad I want to use. Up to you friend.

wow, I appreciate the offer! I'm way down in southern Illinois, Carbondale, Herrin, Marion area. This vehicle is my wife's Toyota Highlander. I now have a Ram 1500 crew cab. It took me one time washing that big sucker to decide I needed a machine for polishing and waxing, lol. It'd take me forever even with paint in good condition.
I ended up getting the Griot's Garage 6" and some Lake Country CCS 6.5" pads.

Thanks.
