T.r.h Got A Job!!!!!!!!

Congrats! I'd rather do that, than lose my house. Just think ,now you get to save money on lunch also. Just take it easy on the biggie fries

Laugh at their own peril! I have two friends that, less than two years ago, both had $100k+ jobs and plenty of money in the bank. One has filed bankruptcy and the other is about to. You are doing the honorable thing and that is what matters. A man that picks up garbage with a smile on his face is a rich man. Happiness is knowing that you can overcome difficult times by doing whatever it takes. As I have said to many people, I have never gone to bed hungry, have always had clean clothes to wear, have awakened in a warm bed every morning with a healthy body and family. Congratulations on doing what a REAL MAN does when things are tough! You are a hero!
Couldn't have said it better if I tried, congrats.

Congrats on the job.

A job is a job. There's nothing funny about it.

That's not true

Good for you Tom, noone could ever accuse you of being a deadbeat dad, and noone should ever criticize you for taking care of your own by any means nec. I applaud you.

Brian

Hey man, if anyone gives you $hit for doing what you gotta do &^%$ them, I respect you for swallowing your pride and taking what you can get.... thats awesome!!! congrats

Look down on you, heck no. It is a very honorable thing you are doing. There is no such thing as a small job. The only people I have little respect for is those who could work, are able to work, and wont work.

Nicely Said.. I believe the same thing

Gosh, I just HAVE to agree with all of the positive comments so far - and your daughter has a great dad!

Tom, as many others have said: my hat's off to you. I haven't been put in the same position as you but if I were, I've always said I would do whatever it takes to support my family exactly as you have. Lotsa kudos.

To build on that - make sure you make the most of this "opportunity" to learn about yourself and how you interact with others. Learn from this experience to make yourself a better person and you will only be better at (and appreciate more) your next job that is back in your desired career path.

It is all about that picture in your avatar and there are plenty of dad's who do not realize this. Congrats for humbly being a great father, which is THE MOST important thing in this world as far as I am concerned. My respect for you and your attitude cannot be measured.

Congratulations to you for doing the right thing. People with attitudes like yours helped make this country the wonderful place it is and will continue to do so.

Congrats Tom,
Always remember to take a shower first thing when you get home to get the oil off your skin. Fellow McD Burger Flipper with 4 years experience. Learned more about business at that place than the other fortune 500 companies I worked.

I was thinking that if you could have held out for ten more days
then Obama would have sent you a check for staying home--hah!

You think Obama is going to do that. If he allows this 'I can work but won't work' attitude to continue he doesn't deserve a second term.
