takeing my first steps, need help?

SMCN101 !
Yes !! Very nice !! Looks like its lowered like the AMG's are... :)

You got a heck of a deal on it too - I have looked at them too, and know how they price their options.. Good for you !

Have Detailed hundreds of Mercedes vehicles in the past, and they have really beautiful paintwork..

Its harder than normal paint because they wanted it that way to help prevent scratches.

Menzerna made some compounds initially for Mercedes that they use on their assembly lines with air powered Rotaries, to take care of any issues, as the cars move down the assembly lines..

I should post up some pics of a few black ones I did so you can see how nice they turn out..

Enjoy that beautiful ride !

Yeah they can be pretty pricey with they'r options, the pano roof itself was like £900 so it's imperative to keep calm and not tick every box on the options list (luckily the Mrs was there to keep me in check) Really good car tho, fun to drive with the sport button engaged and it's not too bad for fuel consumption.
That's good to hear Mercedes has good paint work makes me want to look after it all the more :) I must admit after 3 weeks of haveing the car it's still incredibly shiney, no signs of any swirls or scratches. I will do a proper clean and dry and assess the situation in more detail when I'm going to attempt my first detail.
Done some more reasearch and ended up ordering a product that has got rave reviews - Wolfgang Deep Gloss Liquid Seal. I know MarkD5 suggested the Deep Gloss Paint Seal 3.0 but the fact Liquid Seal is so easy to apply probably suits a beginner like myself. Would this still require the use of wax or anything on top of it or would 2 coats of Liquid Seal be sufficient for finish?

Just done some quick cleaning on the interior of my car, once it was clean I used 303 aerospace wipes for UV protection on all my vinyl and plastic pieces. Didn't realise there was a nice added benefit of satin finish to all the pieces. Also made everything look darker which I like, looks like a brand new black interior :)

For a new or well maintain car, 303ap is my choice of protectant and Meguiars quik interior detailer...
Carpro hydro2 is great on wheels (ease of application)
I recently tried Sonax P&S + BSD and was hook!!! They are the only LSP left in my arsenal now ;)

I was thinking about what to get for keeping the rims looking good but I seen in the spiel for the Wolfgang Liquid Seal that it also works well on wheels?? Would this be adequate or would I be better looking into a product along the Hydro2 lines? Was thinking of adding some Carpro PERL to the basket for tire dressing as it seems to be pretty popular, haveing a white car sling is obviously a major concern in this department but from what I read few people get this with PERL (at least when applied properly)
