What is the recommended maintenance on a vinyl tanneau cover such as the Xtang Trifecta I have on my truck? Other than washing it with car wash soap during normal washes should I be applying any type of UV protector or other lotion to help the vinyl remain durable?

I have used Aerospace 303 as well as Meg's #40 protector but have found both are quite water soluable and readily run off in the weather...

I use Duragloss 301 on my Extang Trifecta with wonderful results. I have also used Tonno Tonic which is distributed by Extang. 303 works for me as well but if I had to choose it would be Duragloss. I think it's #301 but I could be wrong.

I just tried PERL at 1:3 on my Xtang Tonneau Black Max Cover. I was pretty impressed with the look it gave and it did not run in the rain.

Lots of good info about vinyl in this thread...

How To Restore and Protect a Vinyl Top using 303 Products

I interviewed Roger Dyer at 303 Protectant Inc. who has since retired. His info will live on however...

The above can also be found on my article list under,

Vinyl Top Care and Maintenance

Also, tonneau is a hard word to spell, I know it is for me...

303 works well, just make sure it is cleaned well and the excess is buffed off. I switched to 303 from OTC products for my convertible top prior to being on this forum because it did not run in the rain.

Since they don't make the "good stuff" anymore:

I use 303 AP.

I used 303 but now use Ultima Trim and Tire gaurd. Doesn't run and last a long time. I want to try DLUX next.

The last two truck details I have used wolfgang exterior trim sealant and Ultima tire and trim guard plus with excellent longevity. I have stopped using 303 because of the fact the rain seems o wash away the product very quick;)

I don't notice any running .i apply once a month . if gives a new look sheen on it , even at 1:1, it don't like it shiny , I use it 1:1 on my tires too . after a good rain/storm the sheen is gone but it's still beads good and looks fairly clean .
