Tar remover mars paint - what does this mean

You can see the horizontal marks from wiping it. Depending on what paint is on there (maybe not factory paint?), it may have been softened temporarily by the solvents in Tarminator. Maybe. It sure doesn't happen on factory clear and I've used it a ton of times. Good thing is it buffed out. I would not let this sour your opinion on Tarminator, I would lay blame to the paint. Still a stange sight though.

it hasn't soured my opinion on tarminator. never happened before and hope to never have it happen again. but I guess others should be aware that this could happen if dealing with 'funny' paint

and I'm guessing this was not factory paint as you mentioned. or I hope it wasn't anyway. This car also had really deep etching on the roof from past untreated bird bombs.
