I ordered the BOGO because it says it works on bugs. And in Florida. Thats a good thing. Well I just received my order. And read the bottle. It says great at removing wax. Did I just buy something that I'm going to need to rewax that spot everytime I use it? That would not be good and a $17 purchase I may not use to much.

As bamaboy said, anything that is capable of removing tar seems certain to remove any wax or sealent on the surface of the paint.

i just got the stuff on bogo..It may remove wax but the stuff it does i dont mind..its great at removing adhesive left behind, tar and it has a nice citrus scent. For bugs i dont get aq ton of them but if your car has a good wax on it I usually will soak the bugs with Opti-Clean and let it sit for a min or two and the bugs just wipe away. no need to waste expensive product for that

So... if TAR X strips wax... what do u guys use it for then...?
I bought it JUST BECAUSE it's on BOGO lol...
I didnt know it removes wax/sealant...
Just thought i'd swing out the tar x if my car ever gets covered in bugs lol... (Just the front bumper)....

For regular bug removal try the Poorboys Bug Squash.
It gets diluted and will not strip your wax if mixed properly.

Well personally when it comes to bugs, a simple wash clears everything right up; never needed a dedicated product for something like that haha.

I bought it because it has a really cool color and it was on bogo. Well plus it removes tar really well. I just used it for the first time, and tar melts right off. I was just planning to use it at the start of a complete detail, one that I am going to wax anyway. I can say that it strips wax really quick so I wouldn't use it on a car that is not going to get the full job. I would say that the 1.2L's I got on bogo are going to last me a life time.

I would be thrilled to take it off your hands at your cost but not much int paying shipping! If you live near me (Deltona or Longwood Florida) I'm in!

Oh thats great... i just wasted more money lol
I buy many things on BOGO w/o knowing what it is...
As long as BOGO and many ppl recommends it, im DOWN!

Like corey said I would take it off ur hands as well depending on price and shipping, I love the stuff and I don't mind the wax stripping, gives me something to do, but within the next 2 weeks I will have 2 coats of cquarts on the ride

Come drive in Texas or Florida and you'll find a simple wash almost works. In fact a pressure sprayer almost works. I don't drive anywhere in the summer without Poorboy's Bug Squash and multiple towels in the car. Even in the winter they are out but not in huge numbers.

For bugs I use Poorboys Bug Squash. Its an amazing product and inexpensive. For TAR i use TAR x. Don't use it for bugs, its to expensive for that. Just save it for when you do get a lot of tar on your car. I always have a ton behind my wheel wells on the side of the car and rear bumper

I use Tar X for Tar, grease, grime, and adhesive removal. Purpose is to break down the stain so that you don't have to scrub or pick at it; lessening marring and scratches.

It may be overkill for bugs, but it works great on tar and asphalt. If you ever driven over a freshly pave road or driven over liquid asphalt repairs, then Tar X beats APC and WD-40.
