Well, hello all. This is actually my first post to the forums, but I've been ordering like mad and reading like a crazy man.

I'm not sure if this is allowed, but to those looking to pick up some AMAZING microfiber towels close to home, your local Target has a VERY plush brand of MF towel called Vroom. They are VERY thick and do a great job removing product and polishing without marring.

I picked up a 4-pack of the smaller towels and a large drying towel and am SERIOUSLY impressed.

I like the cobra stuff, but it's not thick enough for my tastes, though I still use them. heh.

Anyway, they aren't expensive at all and there's usually a target near. Happy shopping.

My next AG purchases are going to be a Foam gun and either Menz SIP, IP or something along those lines. Coming soon.

I noticed that they had the towels on clearance recently. I think it was 5.99 for a 12 pack?

I have about 20 of the orange Vrooms, they've held up great over the past 2 years, my boutiques have slight edge in softness, but I've never seen any marring on paint. Vroom and Viking make good otc micros, if your going to go otc stay with those two and no others. I mainly use them on wheels and interior, but if my boutiques are being washed or sitting in buckets waiting to be cleaned, I have no quams using Vroom on paint (I keep a set aside specifically for paint, not reuse the interior/wheel towels).

I actually got the 4-pack of the extra thick MFs and the huge drying MF of the same thickness. The 4-pack (Bluish-gray color) I got was $5.99 and the big one (Big and Yellow) was $6.99. I DEFINITELY plan on going back to get more.

As for softness? With a cobra in one hand and the Vroom in the other, there's no comparison. The Vroom is MUCH nicer. Thicker, softer and just slightly larger. It rocks, but I'll be giving AG TONS of business with their other products.

I do have to add though, that I do NOT have any of the cobra ultra-plush, or whatever they're called, MF towels. SOOOO. lol When compared to the free Cobras you get with ordering from AG, the Vroom are much nicer, but I guess I'd need one of the really nice Cobras to be 100% accurate in my statement that the Vrooms are better. :)

Target Micro's are ok, but you can buy 25 at Sams Club for $12.99.
Which I think is a prety good price.

The orange towels from target are good utility towels..the gray ones that come in a 3 or 4 pack are real nice towels...as good as the high price towels ...very plush and soft...some times you catch them on clearance for 4.98 and its a steal...these are very good on paint short nap side for polish and sealant removal and long nap for QD .....nice thick towels

Vroom and Viking make some nice OTC products, not quite the Cobra caliber however. I am awaiting the new Cobra yellow/black Ultra to be released as shown at DFIII.

Not sure what towel you got, in the past they came with the green all purpose which were still very soft and nice, I'd say they and Vrooms were about even. Not sure what Cobra you got that would be much less softer then the Vrooms?

Just the plain ol' green Cobras that come with the items you order here from AG. I got a few when I ordered my PC.

I've read some reviews on the Vroom towels, and I think I may have gotten some new ones or something because these are totally different colors than what everyone seems to be talking about. Mine are a grayish-blue for the smaller towels and yellow for the huge drying towel, which, I might add, has gotten RAVE reviews for being better than most boutique MF drying towels. If that's the case, then the smaller ones I have are the same thickness and feel as the larger drying towel.

Nothing beats the polish removal of an indigo. I like the vroom for the wax removal and application of stuff. I also use the vroom for door jams and engines. I have a set of cobra towels for the most part they arent that much better than the vroom's. I dont use them for the engines cause they were expensive.

I got a whole pack at sams to 25 lime green ones for $12.99 Friday for my detail on sunday with my new purchase of wax. check out show and shine carguy. Will try the one at target in the near future.

try Cobra brand MF towels...it's like an upgrade from a Chevy Cobalt to Cadillac CTS.

The only good vroom towels imo are the gray ones that are the 4-pack for $5.99, I believe these are the ones the OP is talking about.

The one's I prefer though for OTC, are the 2-pack's from Wal-Mart..... yes, Wal-Mart.
They are light blue, ultra plush, and are rolled up together in a tube shape. They are $3.67 for 2. I have around 20, lol.

Yea, cobra's are nice... for 3 months. Then they started linting like crazzzzzzy. Now, my waffle weave glass towel is linting after about 6 months. The only Cobra product I use now are the Guzzlers, no problems with that. I haven't gotten any of the newer versions of the Cobra's, so I have no word on those.
I don't plan on buying Cobra MF's again except for Guzzler if needed. I'm sticking with my Wally's World towels which have lasted longer than Cobra's.

Cobra detailing cloth is a very nice MF towel. All purpose orange are so-so...

quick bump, I just picked up two of the big vroom MF towels for 8 bucks on sale. I dont remember if the smaller ones were on sale, but as everyone stated the big ultra plush and 4 pack are the only ones worth looking at for paint. the rest of them aren't as nice.

try the new Cobra Supremes (grey/black) and you will find a new super fluffy. Awesome towel.

i just received my cobra super plush and they are awesome! i do agree however that my older cobra microfibers do seem to be linting. i am gonna go back to the cheap-o for general cleaning and wax removal.
