So I made the mistake of getting some Traminator on the plastic trim of my side mirrors and now it has left a whitish film/discoloration on the plastic. I read the product instructions before use, but when I saw the 'safe on exterior trim,' that was the end of my reading so I missed the part that said to be cautious around plastics. 
At this point I wanted to see if anybody else has ran into similar issues as well as recommendations as to how to correct the discoloration? Would any type of pad/product combo be appropriate, or do I just need to look into plastic dye/restoration products? If it makes any difference, it seems like the film is somewhat tacky to the touch compared to the unaffected parts of the plastic.
