This is my 1st season detailing part time. I've used TurboTax the last few years and really like it. I'm just a sole proprietor right now with basic expenses and profits. I'm still employed full-time with the State.

How many of you do taxes yourself vs hiring a pro to do them?

Another vote for TurboTax. I'm also employed full-time and have a part-time photography business that is a sole proprietorship. TurboTax will walk you through everything... super easy

Depends on how busy I am. When my last business got to around 200k in sales it became overwhelming for me. I would just put together a P & L statement at the end of the year for my accountant and sit for an hour with him and get them done. I had to file sales tax every quarter when my sales hit 100k so it was more efficient for me to use an accountant. When I was small time I could do it solo.

Are you guy's using turbo tax home and business? This is the one I plan on using.

I've always did tax act
Considered Turbo tax fill it got hacked last year where everyone's crap got delay and they had to refile causing more of a delay..

All done! Took about 3hrs in total, but I had to go through accounts for expenses and plug in addresses on google maps for mileage.

Yep, Turbo Tax Home and Business. Worked great! I've gotten my last 2 yrs refunds very quickly. Hopefully, it will be the same this year.

A little late but next time get a professional and pay the price. As laymen we have no idea what is available in the tax laws that change annually.......they do.

I recently had IRS charge me with a $7500 back payment. It turns out my online tax processor missed something. A certified CPA found it immediately and corrected it. IRS dropped the case. So much for online filing, I'm done with it.
